The Cocodrile Hunter

Stephen Robert Irwin was born the 22 February 1962 in Australia. He was a celebrity because of his television program "The Cocodrile Hunter". In this program, he and his wife operated the Australia Zoo, founded by Irwin's parents. He died the 4 September 2006 killed by a stingray while he was filming a documentary.

When he was a child, his parents created the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park, is here when Steve started a ralationship with cocodriles. At age 9, he wrestled his first cocodrile, obviously under his father's supervision. Steve worked in a program of the park capturing cocodriles, who were relocated and others stay in the park. In 1991 he took the management of the park and named it Australia Zoo.

In 1996 he started an australian television program with his wife, called "The Cocodile Hunter". But in a few years the program was saw by 130 other countries, something like 500 million people. His work in the program was known because of the energy while he was talking, phrases like "crikey!" was famous around the world. Also in 2006 he made a program with his daughter, teaching about animals.

But this cocodrile lover (something like a dog lover, but with big reptiles) also worked showing snakes, and many others reptiles, only to show the beaty of the reptiles and how to deal with them.

I admire him, not only because how he shows the reptiles to the world, but of his effort to promote the care of wild fauna (knowing he was a famous person) founding the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation, the International Crocodile Rescue.

I would like to finish this post inviting you to promote the envoironmentalism like Steve did it, because is the nature who care about us, so we have to care about him. GREETINGS!
