Hello people, today I will talk about my favourite subject: Chemistry.
In my last years in the school I had problems to choose my career, I thought that veterinary was THE career for me, but when I started to study chemistry I liked very much. From the beggining I didn´t know why, I only knew that was easy for me, I understand everything and I liked to teach it. My classmates reserved hours because they knew that I taught very well (it sounds a bit egocentric, I know!). And some day a friend ask me : Why don't you become a chemistry teacher?. That was a horrible moment, I get confused a lot and I didn't know what to do. Finally I decided to study veterinary and I felt good with my decision.
In the university we have a lot of chemistry, at the moment is the same as in school, so I know well what are we learning and I like more and more, because I'm learling new things.
Now when I think why I like so much chemistry, I can say that it's because from the first moment was easy for me to learn it and because in one way or another it's related to the biology (another subject that I like).
If you also like chemistry comment this post ! If you don´t like it, tell me why. GREETINGS!

The Cocodrile Hunter
Stephen Robert Irwin was born the 22 February 1962 in Australia. He was a celebrity because of his television program "The Cocodrile Hunter". In this program, he and his wife operated the Australia Zoo, founded by Irwin's parents. He died the 4 September 2006 killed by a stingray while he was filming a documentary.
When he was a child, his parents created the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park, is here when Steve started a ralationship with cocodriles. At age 9, he wrestled his first cocodrile, obviously under his father's supervision. Steve worked in a program of the park capturing cocodriles, who were relocated and others stay in the park. In 1991 he took the management of the park and named it Australia Zoo.
In 1996 he started an australian television program with his wife, called "The Cocodile Hunter". But in a few years the program was saw by 130 other countries, something like 500 million people. His work in the program was known because of the energy while he was talking, phrases like "crikey!" was famous around the world. Also in 2006 he made a program with his daughter, teaching about animals.
But this cocodrile lover (something like a dog lover, but with big reptiles) also worked showing snakes, and many others reptiles, only to show the beaty of the reptiles and how to deal with them.
I admire him, not only because how he shows the reptiles to the world, but of his effort to promote the care of wild fauna (knowing he was a famous person) founding the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation, the International Crocodile Rescue.
I would like to finish this post inviting you to promote the envoironmentalism like Steve did it, because is the nature who care about us, so we have to care about him. GREETINGS!

Becoming a Professional
The veterinarians are complete people. They have so much to do, and a lot of different types of jobs. Since take care of a dog to help in a sanitarian inspection service (like SAG in Chile). All this field of work make you a little confuse, but don't worry, you have a lot of time to choose one (also you have free subject related with different areas).
Personally I prefer wild animals(I would like to work in a zoo), they are my passion. When I was a child I saw a lot of documentaries of animals, almost I didn't watch cartoons, I used to watch lions running behind gazelles. My favourite channel was Animal Planet (or National Geographic) and I saw it all the day.

Now I don't have much time to watch T.V., but here in the faculty of Veterinary Science and Livestock of Universidad de Chile there are a lot of animals. We have 4A (abandoned animal aid association ), who help lost dog and give them in adoption. Also we have Mundo Granja (educational farm), where there are farm animals (obviously in a specific area), and you can go to feed and care or only see them.
Finally I have to mention that the reason I chose this career you know it, but in the future maybe I discover the real reason of my decision.

Veterinarian in Formation
I'm a veterinary student. I grow up with animals around me (like almost every veterinarian). I had dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits and chicken too! But in some point of my life I saw something different in animals, they didn't are just pets, they were partners (specially dogs) so I started to care about the health of my pets. For example I choose the best food for each one, or clean their space (cage in case of small pets). Whatever, I did everything to improve their health, and gave them the best of me. Now I'm studying the career of my life in Universidad de Chile and I'm so happy with my decision.
